Children’s Magnet Montessori School – Owings Mills is located across from T. Rowe Price’s main campus in Owings Mills, just past the intersection of Painters Mill and Lyons Mill. The elegantly designed 9000 sq.ft facility welcomes parents and children in a home-like atmosphere with a large outdoor area equipped with two playground structures, school garden, entry security system, and abundant library.
Our classrooms include quality Montessori materials and an engaging, hands-on learning environment set up to foster each student’s development to their full potential. In addition to daily classroom instruction, students receive enrichment in STEM, Spanish, Technology, and Library. Our Montessori School in Owings Mills focuses on the development of the whole child. Therefore, we offer Montessori based daycare, preschool, kindergarten and elementary school programs that balance the social/emotional, cognitive, physical and academic development of children.
Ms. Sahar Khan
ADMINISTRATOR
Ms. Sahar Khan joined CMMS Owings Mills in 2023 with over 23 years experience as a Teacher and Administrator in the field of Early Childhood Education and childcare. Ms. Sahar has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in addition to her 90-hour and 45-hour Preschool certificates, her Child Development Associate Credential and Director’s Certification. While Ms. Sahar always loved to learn, her interest in the field of education was initially sparked by both her father and brother working in a school. When Ms. Sahar came to America and became a mother, she took a deeper interest in the education system to better understand how her daughter would be learning. The Montessori method was particularly appealing because of the calm and peaceful learning environment which she has seen make a pronounced impact on a child’s ability to learn independently and grow over time.
